Intern Spotlight

Temara Cross:

"I could not imagine my life right now without the Say Yes Buffalo Internship & Career Pathways Program! I have been blessed with two internships this summer: one at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and one at Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus (BNMC) - Healthy Communities Department.

At Roswell, I am doing research on breast cancer in African-American women, in which I will complete my internship with an academic publication! At BNMC, I am assisting the Healthy Communities team with their Food and Active Living Initiatives, carrying out actions such as coordinating the daily Food Truck Rodeo and setting up games in Ellicott Park. These experiences have truly aided in confirming my career goals, and I thank everyone who has granted Say Yes Scholars these great opportunities! #InternshipsAreImportant!"
